The campaign “Migration and migrants today. In Serbia and the region”

May 4, 2021

In April 2021, we conducted a campaign on social networks called “Migration and migrants today. In Serbia and the region”. The campaign aimed to illustrate the problems, challenges of migrants today, in Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo*, and Montenegro, related to human trafficking and jeopardising/protecting the rights of migrants. The campaign also highlighted the specific challenges in migration movements and the problematic policies and discourses that accompany the area of migration across the region.

The products of the campaign, in the form of illustrations, accompanied by a short story from each country, were seen by over 30,000 people.

The campaign would not have been possible without the partners who provided us with the necessary information: the Albanian Helsinki Committee (AHC); Belgrade Centre for Human Rights (BCHR), Civic Alliance (GAMN), Civil Rights Program Kosovo* 1 (CRP / K); Macedonian Young Lawyers Association (MYLA), Vaša Prava BiH, and the Danish Refugee Council (DRC).

The projects in which the campaign was supported were funded by the European Union, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Belgrade, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
